THEBIGLEAD.com's Jason McIntyre noted less than three years after "joining the staff at Sports Illustrated, Joe Posnanski is leaving." Posnanski has told the magazine that he is "moving on, and his next stop is the USA Today/MLB Advanced Media joint venture that was announced last month." Posnanski said that he will work The Masters this weekend for SI, but his "departure date is still being worked out." He said that it is "unclear what his exact role in the USA Today Sports Media Group will be" (THEBIGLEAD.com, 3/30)....The BOSTON HERALD notes football writer Ian Rapoport is leaving "for a gig on the NFL Network." Rapoport will be "based in Dallas doing TV reporting on the Cowboys," as well as the other 31 teams and contributing to NFLNetwork.com (BOSTON HERALD, 4/2).
