Former Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) President and '14 FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee Chair RICARDO TEIXEIRA, who retired on Monday, will “keep his place” on FIFA’s Executive Committee. FIFA also confirmed JOSÉ MARIA MARIN as Teixeira’s successor for both the CBF and World Cup roles. Marin is a “former politician who is little known outside the closed world” of the CBF (REUTERS, 3/13). Marin played from ‘50-52 for Brazilian club Sao Paulo FC and is a lawyer. He began work at his new positions yesterday “promising as few changes as possible despite an often controversial reign” by Teixeira. Marin “praised the ‘stupendous’ work of Teixeira” (AP, 3/13).

EXECS: Just Marketing Int’l has formed a new Strategy & Consulting division. The group will be led by new Senior VP/Strategy & Consulting ALED REES, who will remain in the company’s London office. Rees was previously VP/Int’l Client Services. Also joining the new division is MARK MYERS, who becomes Senior Dir of Strategy & Consulting. Myers previously oversaw JMI’s sponsorship accounts for Farmers Insurance and DirecTV, as well as UPS’ NASCAR sponsorship. Myers will continue to be based out of JMI’s Indianapolis office (JMI)….The National Football Foundation promoted Dir of Communications & Special Projects MIKKI DOBSKI to College Football HOF Exec Dir (NFF)….Sprint Center promoted the following: MICHAEL CHALFIE to VP/Event Operations & Services, FREDDRICK RICHARDSON to VP/Public Safety & Facility Systems, SHANI TATE to VP/Marketing, Communications & Ticket Sales and DEB WARD to VP/Finance & Administration (Sprint Center)….Golf course management company KemperSports promoted DOUG HELLMAN to Senior VP/Business Development and DAVE GOLTZ to VP and Corporate Counsel (KemperSports).
