In N.Y., Howard Beck reports former NBA Security Dir WARREN GLOVER said that he "repeatedly warned his superiors in the league's security department that women in the office were being sexually harassed or discriminated against, but that his concerns were ignored and that he was ultimately fired for his actions on the women’s behalf." Glover is now "suing the league for lost wages and damages." He was fired in July "after 10 years with the NBA." Beck notes it is unclear from the lawsuit "whether Glover’s concerns ever reached" NBA Commissioner DAVID STERN's office. The suit states that Glover "at least once expressed his alarm -- both about the treatment of women and his fear of retaliation -- to JOEL LITVIN, the NBA’s president for league operations." In addition to the league, Glover is suing former NBA Senior VP/Security BERNARD TOLBERT, NBA Senior VP/Security JAMES CAWLEY, and NBA Senior Dir of Security GREGORY ROBINSON, "who was Glover's immediate supervisor" (N.Y. Prokhorov “told supporters he might join the next protest himself," thought his announcement to run Putin "surprised many.” D’Agata said Prokhorov “is known for his lavish lifestyle and beautiful women” and he “joked he'd be willing to settle down and get married if it would make him a better candidate for president.” D’Agata: “The Prokhorov campaign is hoping to tap into the growing discontent among many voters against Putin's heavy-handed rule” (“Evening News,” CBS, 12/15).
