SEC, Big Ten Schools Continue To Top FBS In Average Home Attendance

Big Ten and SEC schools continue to lead the FBS in average home football attendance through Oct. 15, taking eight of the top 10 spots. Michigan leads all schools with 111,493 fans per game this season, followed by Ohio State at 105,105 per game. In all, five schools are topping the 100,000 mark this season. There are no ACC schools in the top 15 in attendance, and no Big East schools ranked among the top 30. The LSU-Oregon matchup on opening weekend has been the largest neutral site game thus far with 87,711 fans attending the game at Cowboys Stadium. Duke ranks last among BCS automatic qualifier schools with an average of 25,588 fans per game. Among non-AQ schools, East Carolina has the top attendance with 50,012 fans per game, ranking it 42nd among all FBS schools (THE DAILY).
