Devils To Begin Using Variable Ticket Pricing This Season

The Devils have adjusted ticket prices this season to "better reflect the differing demand levels" of the secondary market, according to John Brennan of the Bergen RECORD. Devils Arena Entertainment President Rick Krezwick said that the "decision to go to variable ticket-pricing ... came after a careful study of the secondary market." For 21 of the 41 regular-season games at Prudential Center, "an upper-level ticket behind either goal will remain at $61." For 10 games against "marquee opponents, such as the Rangers or Flyers, the same seat will be $69." For 10 other games "the seat will cost $52." Krezwick said that "other factors besides the opponent also come into play." Krezwick added that "club officials were looking for roughly a 10-21-10 split of the pricing," and from there, "the day of the week and time of the game also were considered, as well as the time of the year" (Bergen RECORD, 9/29).
