WNBA Attendance Jumps 1.5%; Mystics, Lynx, Sky See Big Gains At Home

WNBA teams averaged 7,955 fans per game during the '11 regular season, up 1.5% from last year. The Washington Mystics led all teams with 10,449 fans per game at Verizon Center, up 11.7% from a year ago. The Chicago Sky saw the biggest attendance jump, up 29% at Allstate Arena. Also seeing a healthy attendance bump were the Minnesota Lynx, who saw a 10.8% jump. The N.Y. Liberty, who played this season at Prudential Center due to renovations at Madison Square Garden, saw attendance drop 30.4%.
