Overnight Ratings: Notre Dame-Michigan Thriller Under The Lights Scores For ESPN

Week One for the NFL led all sports telecasts this past weekend, highlighted by big numbers for Fox’ national window and NBC’s “SNF.” ESPN led all college football telecasts with a 4.8 overnight for Notre Dame-Michigan on Saturday night. That figure is up 7% from a 4.5 for the same matchup on NBC last year. ABC earned a 3.9 overnight for Alabama-Penn State in the 3:30pm window Saturday. The net aired regional coverage in the same window in ’10. The net also aired the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Wonderful Pistachios 400 from Richmond Int’l Raceway on Saturday night, earning a 3.5 overnight, up 25% from a 2.8 last year.
