Sports Authority said that CEO DAVID CAMPISI has resigned, but did not give a reason for his departure. DARRELL WEBB has been named interim CEO. He will continue his duties as CEO of Jo-Ann Stores, which like Sports Authority is owned by private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners. Campisi's resignation comes "barely a week after" the company agreed to a naming-rights deal for the Broncos' stadium (DENVER POST, 8/23)....EPL club Queens Park Rangers named PHILIP BEARD CEO. Beard previously served as LOCOG Dir of Marketing & Sponsorship and O2 Arena CEO. His appointment comes after last week's sale of QPR to TONY FERNANDES (MARKETINGWEEK.co.uk, 8/23)....Palace Sports & Entertainment promoted Senior VP/Corporate Controller ROBERT JOHNSON to CFO, and Finance Dir DANIEL LINCOLN to VP & Corporate Controller (PSE)....Pacers Sports & Entertainment promoted KEVIN BOWER to Exec VP & CFO (Pacers).

EXECS: The Wild named Seahawks COO JOHN RIZZARDINI Senior VP/Ticket Sales & Service. He will take on the responsibilities formerly held by JAMIE SPENCER, who is leaving the organization to become Exec VP/Sales for Tampa Bay Sports & Entertainment (Wild)....Connecticut-based SJX Partners named WNBA Chicago Sky Marketing Partnerships Manager STEVE DEVCICH Account Exec (THE DAILY)....The Univ. of Cincinnati named LSU Dir of Game & Event Management and Facility Scheduling BRENDAN FOURACRE Associate AD for Facilities & Operations (UC)....Syracuse Univ. named MOREY MOSSOVITZ Assistant AD for Facilities & Event Operations.
