Throwing In The Towel: Brian Kenny Leaving ESPN In September

ESPN's Brian Kenny is "leaving the network and becoming a TV free agent," according to Michael McCarthy of USA TODAY. ESPN VP/Communications Mike Soltys confirmed that Kenny will host his final "SportsCenter" in early September. Given Kenny's experience covering MLB, the "veteran anchor/host could be a good fit with rival MLB Network." Kenny hosts both a national show on ESPN Radio and ESPN2's "Friday Night Fights." In addition to "SportsCenter," Kenny has anchored ESPN's "Baseball Tonight" and done play-by-play on "Wednesday Night Baseball" (USA TODAY, 8/23).

TURNING THE PAGE: Turner Sports announced yesterday that broadcaster Vince Cellini will return to the media organization as a full-time host for NBA TV. He also will host the new "NCAA.com College Football Preview Show" with Dave Archer, and continue as host for the NASCAR "Preview Show delivered by FedEx Racing" and "Fantasy Showdown" on NASCAR.com (Turner).
