Danica Patrick To Stay With IMG, Says Decision On Racing Future Will "Take Time"

Driver Danica Patrick is “sticking with IMG in the wake of agent Mark Steinberg's split with the sports management giant,” according to Chris Jenkins of the AP. Patrick still “hasn't made a decision” on whether to continue racing in both NASCAR and the Izod IndyCar Series, but she said that her agents “officially are free to listen to offers.” Patrick said, "I don't really know what they're doing, to be quite honest. I get updates randomly. But for some reason, they don't like to tell me. They like to just let me do my job and they let me know when there's something of significance. Otherwise, they don't tell me." She added, "They're doing what they do best, I'm doing what I do best. These things take time anyway" (AP, 6/17). In Detroit, Terry Foster writes the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series “needs Danica Patrick.” Foster: “This is about filling stands and increasing television ratings. Patrick can become the sport's Tiger Woods” (DETROIT NEWS, 6/20).
