AFL Chief Marketing & Revenue Officer Stuart Layne Resigns

AFL Chief Marketing & Revenue Officer STUART LAYNE resigned Friday, effective immediately. Layne was hired by the AFL in Sept. '10. Before joining the AFL, Layne ran his own marketing agency called Seven 2 Sports Marketing and he previously held marketing jobs with the Mariners and Celtics. “It was a mutual agreement,” Layne said. “They are starting to play for 2012 so the timing worked for everybody.” In the past year, the AFL signed league deals with Napa Auto Parts and the National Guard. AFL Commissioner JERRY KURZ said that the AFL will reorganize its sales staff. “We will have a multi-staff sales force instead of a singular approach,” Kurz said.
