AFL Teams Seeing 2.7% Drop In Home Attendance Through June 4

The AFL is averaging 7,698 fans per game to date, down 2.7% from 7,914 fans through the same period last year. The league is playing with 18 teams this season after having 15 last year, which was the league's first season back after the '09 season was canceled due to financial considerations. Six clubs are seeing double-digit percentage declines from '10. The Orlando Predators lead all teams with 11,977 fan per game, up 11.1%. The Utah Blaze are seeing the biggest jump at the gate, up 45.1% at EnergySolutions Arena, while the Dallas Vigilantes (+25.3%) also are up big from last season. Listed below is AFL team-by-team attendance for the '11 season through June 4, with comparisons to the same period last season (THE DAILY).
