In Oakland, Dave Newhouse reports 1,398 of sports consultant ANDY DOLICH's "closest friends or contacts" received a fake e-mail from Dolich on April 13 that said that he "was in trouble and he desperately needed their help." The e-mail indicated that Dolich "was in London, where he had his passport and credit cards stolen, and he was seeking some 'quick funds' to fly back home." However, the e-mail "was a scam," as Dolich's Google account was "hacked" (OAKLAND TRIBUNE, 5/19).

HELPING HAND: In L.A., Helene Elliott reports the "aftermath of a soured business partnership" between NHL Kings President of Business Operations LUC ROBITAILLE and former Predators investor WILLIAM 'BOOTS' DEL BIAGGIO III that left Robitaille responsible for a $2M "line of credit has led a bank to foreclose" on Robitaille's Santa Monica home. However, Robitaille "isn't expected to lose the home and won't lose his job while he settles his financial obligations." AEG President & CEO TIM LEIWEKE in an e-mail said that AEG is "working with" Robitaille and his wife, STACIA (L.A. TIMES, 5/19).

NAMES: Golfer K.J. CHOI is giving $200,000 from his win at last week's PGA Tour The Players Championship "to help victims of the tornados that ravaged the southeastern United States" (AP, 5/18)....Univ. of Minnesota school of journalism graduate ELIZABETH GIORGI has made a documentary "about the more extreme kind of Vikings fan." The documentary, entitled "SKOL," is "about those ultrapassionate Vikings fans and how they handled a disappointing 2010 season" (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 5/19)....Celtics C SHAQUILLE O'NEAL appears in a video on the Harvard Medical School's Healthy Sleep website in which he describes "how Harvard docs helped him with his bedtime breathing problems" (BOSTON GLOBE, 5/19).

IN MEMORY: Former NCAA National Coordinator for College Football Officiating DAVID PARRY "died Monday of complications of Parkinson's disease" at the age of 76. Parry became the "first national coordinator of officials" in '08, a position he resigned from in February (AP, 5/16).
