Sports Execs Feel Revenue Sharing, Hard Salary Cap Are Biggest MLB CBA Issues

Sports industry execs feel that changing MLB's revenue-sharing formula and setting a hard salary cap will be the most hotly contested issues during the next round of CBA negotiations, according a Turnkey Sports poll conducted in March. Thirty-four percent of sports execs polled said they felt the revenue-sharing formula is the most important issue, while 28% said it is a hard salary cap. Sports execs also overwhelmingly felt that the MLBPA has more power than its counterparts in the NBA, NFL and NHL. Only 28% of respondents felt that MLB owners hold more power than the players (THE DAILY).
