Former Commodity Exchange Inc. Chair MARTIN GREENBERG is suing Heat VP/Player Programs ALONZO MOURNING's charity after Greenberg won $1M “for hitting a hole-in-one at its golf tournament -- then was denied the prize after it was claimed the course had been improperly shortened.” The insurer backing the event “refused to pay up, claiming Greenberg's required 150-yard shot had actually traveled only 139 yards.” Greenberg on Thursday filed suit in New York state Supreme Court against the charity for $1M plus legal costs (N.Y. POST, 2/11).

FEELING THE VIBE: Bloomberg News' Brett Pulley said of Basketball HOFer MAGIC JOHNSON becoming Chair of Vibe Holdings, “He’s been saying for really over a year now that he had an interest in media and he’s been saying specifically multi-cultural African-American media.” Johnson has “really strong experience serving multi-cultural markets” with his Starbucks stores and movie theaters. Pulley said that Johnson’s “bigger vision” is the “value there (in multi-cultural markets) and there’s probably underserved markets" (Bloomberg TV, 2/9).

NAMES: Stunt3 Multimedia is filming a 10-part documentary on Univ. of Michigan football, “scheduled for premier in late May or early June." “VICTORS” also will air during the football season, with the “first five parts debuting in 2011 and the second” five in ’12. The series is “loosely modeled after” ESPN’s “30 for 30” documentary series (ANNARBOR.com, 2/9)….Author JIM DENT is working on his upcoming book, "SUPER BOWL TEXAS STYLE: THE REAL STORY BEHIND SUPER BOWL XLV" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 2/11)....Chargers President & CEO DEAN SPANOS "has sold his spread at the Trump Park Avenue" in N.Y. The deal marks Elway's "first foray into the Denver-area automobile business since he left the car biz in 2006, when his partnership with AutoNation ended" (DENVER POST, 2/10)....Former ESPN NFL analyst JEREMY GREEN "pleaded guilty to first-degree possession of child pornography Thursday in New Britain Superior Court."
