In L.A., Bill Shaikin reports the Dodgers "have parted ways with three vice presidents, the latest in a series of front-office departures over the last two off-seasons." The team cut ties with VP/Security & Stadium Services RAY MAYTORENA, VP/Partnership Development STEVE SPARTIN and VP/Organizational Development & Fan Services JOE WALSH. In addition, the Dodgers' marketing department now has only "three employees listed" in the directory on the team website, "down from eight in last spring's media guide." A source said that the team "plans to retain an ad agency to handle some marketing responsibilities." Shaikin notes "at least 22 front-office employees have left the organization ... over the last 15 months" (L.A. TIMES, 12/28).

EXECS: Mission Media Group LLC, which distributes content under the Sporting News Radio name, announced that CRAIG LARSON will become Program Dir for the network. Mission Media Group also announced two additions to the network lineup. KGOW-AM host TRAVIS RODGERS will host "Travis Rodgers Now" on the network, and Sporting News Radio also will launch "Gamecast," hosted by BOB BERGER and CRAIG SHEMON (Mission)....ANC Sports Enterprises has promoted MARK STROSS to Chief Technology Officer. ANC also named BILL ANDREOZZI Senior VP/Software Development. Andreozzi will oversee a team of software developers including ScorePAD Founder DOUG HINES (ANC)....The Univ. of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has hired Rutgers Univ. Deputy AD RICK COSTELLO as AD, replacing GEORGE KOONCE (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 12/28)....MLS has hired U.S. Soccer Federation Dir of Referee Development PAUL TAMBERINO as a Dir in the league's Competition Department. Tamberino will serve as the primary liaison to all USSF and Canadian Soccer Association officiating committees and assist in planning and implementation of strategies to enhance quality of play (MLS).
