Kobe, LeBron And Durant Debut New Kicks In Christmas Games

James, Durant, Bryant Each Set To Unveil
Limited Edition Shoe During Christmas Games

Lakers G Kobe Bryant, Heat F LeBron James and Thunder F Kevin Durant “will all be wearing limited-edition Christmas Day colorways of their signature sneakers which will be available at retail the following day, December 26th,” according to SLAMONLINE.com. James will “debut his second signature sneaker” from Nike this season, the LeBron 8 V.2, in a “Run on Red” Christmas colorway. Additional colors of the shoe "will launch at retail on Jan 8, 2011 for $160.” Durant’s Nike Christmas KD III “No Yield for Yellow” colorway includes “five lightening bolts on the outsole to represent his team [and] piano keys near the heel and midfoot of the outsole representing KD’s love of music." The shoes also include BF62 on the outsole in honor of a game Durant scored 62 points "at Barry Farms in his home town of DC.” The KD III will be available at retail for $88. Bryant's Nike Christmas Kobe VI is “green with red laces,” and will hit retail for $130. The shoe will also “be available for customization at www.NikeiD.com beginning” Friday (SLAMONLINE.com, 12/21).

THE NEW OLD SCHOOL: Bobcats President & COO Fred Whitfield announced yesterday that a limited number of the new Air Jordan XI Retro shoes will be released at the Team Store in Time Warner Cable Arena tomorrow. A line to buy the shoes will begin in the arena’s main lobby at 12:00pm ET, with the store to open at 2:00pm (Bobcats).
