Clyde The Glide Eliminated From “Dancing With The Stars”

Basketball HOFer CLYDE DREXLER and his partner, ELENA GRINENKO, were eliminated from ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” during last night’s episode. Judge CARRIE ANN INABA said to Drexler, “Sorry, I’m going to be very frank. You’re the worst dancer in the competition.” Drexler: “I have tee times set up for the next week. But I want to say, it’s been a great experience. ... We’re not like ‘American Idol.’ We’re not aspiring to be the next greatest dancer: BARYSHNIKOV, SAMMY DAVIS JR. We’re just doing the best we can do as celebrities.” Boxer LAILA ALI and speedskater APOLO ANTON OHNO –- whose perfect score of 30 on Monday was the show’s first perfect score of the season — are the two sports figures remaining in the competition attempting to follow former NFLer EMMITT SMITH’s victory in the reality show competition last season. Meanwhile, SUGAR RAY LEONARD was in the audience last night (ABC, 4/17). Monday’s edition of the show featured Drexler traveling to China, along with Grinenko, for an appearance on behalf of Chinese sports brand Athletic. The segment in China showed billboards of Drexler in an Athletic jersey (ABC, 4/16).
