Jim Donofrio As Senior VP/Sales |

Industry vet JIM DONOFRIO has joined IMG Sports & Entertainment as Senior VP/Sales. Donofrio will be based in N.Y. and sell a variety of IMG sports, entertainment and media properties, reporting to Senior VP/Business Development & Sales PETER LAZARUS. Donofrio was most recently Senior VP/Sales for NYC Marketing, the city’s marketing agency, then headed by another veteran sports marketer, JOE PERELLO. Donofrio was also National Sales Manager for Turner Sports, VP/Business Development at Millsport and VP/Sales & Marketing at MBNA. The move is the latest in an IMG hiring spree that has the company bringing on a bevy of senior execs. Since September, IMG has brought in former NHL Exec/VP Media DOUG PERLMAN as President of IMG Media, added former IMGer IAN TODD from Nike as President of IMG Int’l, named NBC Sports & Olympics sales chief Lazarus as Senior VP/Business Development & Sales and hired TIM ROTHWELL and BRUNO MAGLIONE as Managing Dirs of Licensing & Consumer Products. IMG continues to search for a senior N.Y.-based exec to head its corporate consulting division, which like many of its businesses, will be run out of N.Y., instead of Cleveland, where IMG was founded.
