Trail Blazers Attempting To Win Back Lower Bowl And Club Level Customers |
While the Trail Blazers front office has “slashed some ticket prices to draw in the most price-sensitive fans, it’s also trying to win back the business executives and wealthier individuals who typically fill the more expensive lower bowl and club-level seats” at the Rose Garden, according to Helen Jung of the Portland OREGONIAN. The team and arena will not disclose season-ticket sales, but the Blazers “acknowledge that they’ve lost some of the most dedicated fans of the past, including business ticket holders.” Trail Blazers President & GM Steve Patterson said that overall ticket sales are up about 7-8%, while the average ticket price is near $42, about 12% higher “than last year at this time.” He added that the Trail Blazers are “giving away ‘hundreds’ fewer free tickets than last year.” The team, which “already offers discounts to season ticket holders depending on how long they have been customers, has also been cold-calling other possible customers.” Global Spectrum and club-level sponsor Lexus last month invited 800 Lexus owners to the arena to “test-drive” a game and “sample the club level lounge” (
