Tigers-A’s Game Two Earns 7.0/11 |
Fox earned a 7.0/11 overnight Nielsen rating for Tigers-A’s ALCS Game Two last night. Fox earned a 9.4/14 overnight last year for its split telecast of Game Two of the White Sox-Angels ALCS and Game One of the Astros-Cardinals NLCS. Last night’s game was scheduled to air to only 20% of the U.S. on Fox and the remainder of the country on FX, but all of the country got the game since Cardinals-Mets NLCS Game One was postponed due to rain. The game earned a 30.7/44 in Detroit and a 10.7/22 in the Bay Area (
THE DAILY).
TUESDAY NIGHT PRIMETIME: Tigers-A’s ALCS Game One on Tuesday earned a 2.8/8 in adults 18-49 and 8.59 million viewers overall, down 22% in the demo from a 3.6/10 for White Sox-Angels ALCS Game One last year. ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” won the night with in-season highs — 5.6/15 in 18-49 and 20.1 million viewers. ABC won primetime in 18-49, 25-54 and total viewers, with Fox fourth in each category but first in male demos. NBC’s second episode of “Friday Night Lights” declined 19% from its debut last week, running fourth in the 8:00 hour. But considering the show’s “critical acclaim,” NBC “figures to stick with it for at least a little while to see if ratings can start going in the other direction” (Rick Kissell, DAILY VARIETY, 10/12).
