The NTRA BOD appointed Del Mar Thoroughbred Club Exec VP CRAIG FRAVEL Chair, replacing D.G. VAN CLIEF JR., who will continue as NTRA Commissioner & CEO and Breeders’ Cup Limited President. Fravel’s appointment will not affect his existing position at Del Mar (NTRA).

EXECS: USA Taekwondo named DAVID ASKINAS CEO, replacing BOB GAMBARDELLA, who served as an executive on loan from the USOC since ’04. Most recently, Askinas headed his own sports consulting firm in Tampa (USA Taekwondo)....Premier Partnerships named JOHN ALPER VP/Central Region Operations. Alper, who will open an office in Dallas, was most recently FC Dallas Senior VP/Business Development (Premier Partnerships)....MICHELLE DUFF has joined OnSport’s corporate consulting group. Previously, Duff managed sports sponsorships for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance (OnSport)....Ketchum Sports Network named SHAWN MCBRIDE VP and SHANNON O’MALLEY Account Associate. McBride spent six years at Octagon while O’Malley was a junior associate at Rubenstein PR (Ketchum)....Gaylord Sports Management named former PGA Tour player RICK FEHR Player Manager (Gaylord)....The Univ. of South Carolina Athletics Department named former Budget Dir JEFF TALLANT CFO (Columbia STATE, 3/22).
