MEDIA: HOLLYWOOD REPORTER’s Mimi Turner cites sources as saying that BBC Head of Sport PETER SALMON is quitting “after eight years to take a senior role as sports and drama producer at the Television Corp.” (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 4/21)....Talent and event representation firm Headline Media Management (HMM) named JAY ROSENSTEIN VP/Programming. Rosenstein has more than 25 years experience in sports TV, including 15 at CBS, where he served more than six years as VP at CBS Sports (HMM)....NBC News named NBC Olympics Coordinating Producer JIM BELL Exec Producer of NBC’s “Today” show (NBC).

APPAREL: New Balance named NANCY COONS GM of Apparel. Previously, Coons spent five years managing Oakley’s apparel business and prior to that was Nike Apparel Divisional Merchandise Manager (New Balance)....Columbia Sportswear nominated Intel Exec VP & Chief Financial/Enterprise Services Officer ANDY BRYANT for election to its BOD. The number of Dirs to be elected to the company’s BOD has been increased from eight to nine (Columbia).
