Povich wrote for the Post for 75 years before passing away in ’98 (WASHINGTON POST, 9/30)....KEVEN DAVIS, an attorney for VENUS and SERENA WILLIAMS yesterday threatened to sue Florida-based tennis coach RICK MACCI if Macci writes a tell-all book about coaching the sisters. Davis said that Macci by writing a book would be in breach of a $250,000 contract signed in ’97. But Macci said that RICHARD WILLIAMS had already “rendered the agreement null and void” by minimizing Macci’s role in the sisters’ success (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 9/30)....Louisville-based attorney J. BRUCE MILLER has written a book titled “AIR BALL” that outlines Louisville’s past attempts to land NBA teams including the Rockets, Grizzlies and Hornets.
