State Street Pictures and A Squared Productions have sold to 20th Century Fox a story about an star NFL quarterback who "jeopardizes his lucrative corporate endorsement deal when he misbehaves in public," according to Claude Brodesser of DAILY VARIETY. With the Super Bowl approaching, the company "hires a child psychologist to 'baby-sit' the wayward athlete and protect their brand from further scandal." The screenplay, to be written by SEAN MCGINLY, is based on an article in Details magazine by CHRIS SMITH (DAILY VARIETY, 6/10).

Buckhalter Joins The Cast Of “White Men Can’t Rap” |
NO SMALL ROLES: Eagles RB CORRELL BUCKHALTER has been cast in the comedy "White Men Can't Rap," which is shooting in Philadelphia and stars JOHN LUMIA. Buckhalter said, "When I heard [Falcons DB] BRYAN SCOTT has been cast, I felt it was important to have an Eagle represent this Philly-based production" (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 6/10)....Former NFLer and "NFL on Fox" personality TONY SIRAGUSA, who appeared on HBO's "The Sopranos," is being eyed for a part in the remake of "The Longest Yard." Siragusa said of acting, "I don't know how far I want to take this. I've got so much going on with my restaurants and charity golf tournaments and other business interests. I can't really devote several months to a movie unless they make me an offer I can't refuse" (Scott Pitoniak, ROCHESTER DEMOCRAT & CHRONICLE, 6/9).
JOCKEY CLUB: The THOROUGHBRED TIMES reports the career of jockey LAFFITT PINCAY JR. will be the subject of a documentary "currently in the works by producers JIM WILSON and RALPH TORNBERG." Wilson produced "Dances With Wolves" (THOROUGHBRED TIMES, 6/9).
