CHARITY: Bengals RB COREY DILLON yesterday announced the formation of the COREY DILLON FOUNDATION. Dillon, who wears No. 28, started the foundation with $28,000 of his own money. The foundation benefits Cincinnati's inner-city children (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 3/8)....The TIGER WOODS FOUNDATION's six local clinics have been "disbanded and will be replaced by one national clinic, to be held" at Walt Disney World, probably in June (GOLFWEEK.com, 3/6)....Pirates Managing General Partner KEVIN MCCLATCHY will run the May 5th UPMC Pittsburgh Marathon to raise money for lung cancer research (Pittsburgh TRIBUNE-REVIEW, 3/8).

NAMES: "Pro Football Insider" Publisher FRED EDELSTEIN yesterday was indicted on check kiting charges. Edelstein was already facing federal wire fraud charges before being charged with processing 66 checks worth $394,500 from May '00-October '01 (AP, 3/7)....JEFF GORDON was an in-studio guest on TNT's NBA halftime show yesterday. Gordon, on not being well-liked among several NASCAR fans: "I think there's some people that boo Michael Jordan when he comes to town and beats their team. ... I've kind of tried not to figure it out and go out there and do my thing and try to get to victory lane" (TNT, 3/7)....A feature film set in the extreme sports world titled “KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN” is being developed by director TAMRA DAVIS and her husband, MIKE D from the BEASTIE BOYS. Athletes slated to appear in the film include BMX rider MAT HOFFMAN, motocross race TRAVIS PASTRANA, pro surfer SUNNY GARCIA and pro skier SETH MORRISON (SI, 3/11 issue)....
