FIRST GUESS ON WHO RAN MOST ADS DURING OLYMPIC COVERAGE???

          During NBC's coverage of the Sydney Games, 113
     companies advertised 257 different brands, according to an
     analysis by Creative Media and cited by MEDIAWEEK's John
     Consoli.  The "most prolific" advertiser was GM, which aired
     307 spots, followed by Coca-Cola (197), AT&T (161), IBM
     (124), A-B (118), Visa USA (108) and Johnson & Johnson
     (103).  Consoli notes that only three dot-com companies were
     among the Top 30 advertisers -- Ameri-trade (55), Charles
     Schwab (48) and Monster.com (43).  NBC aired 3,406
     commercial spots during the Games.  Of the total, 88% were
     30-second spots, 8% were 15-second spots and 4% were 60-
     second spots.  Meanwhile, 84% were brand ads and 16% were
     NBC promos (MEDIAWEEK, 10/16 issue).
