LESLIE PRICE AND GEORGE SHINN END TWO-YEAR LEGAL FEUD

          LESLIE PRICE and Hornets Owner GEORGE SHINN have "ended
     their long-running legal dispute," according to Ames
     Alexander of the CHARLOTTE OBSERVER.  Price agreed not to
     appeal a verdict from a SC jury that "rejected her claim"
     that Shinn had sexually assaulted her.  In exchange, Shinn
     agreed to "dismiss his slander and extortion" suit against
     Price (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 12/30).  Meanwhile, Price's
     husband, Dr. Jeffrey Cutchin Price, was found dead on Sunday
     from "an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound."  The couple
     has said that the legal dispute with Shinn "strained their
     marriage and finances" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 1/3).
