EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          The Orioles promoted BILL STETKA to Dir of PR.  He has
     been Assistant Dir of PR since April '95 (Orioles)....The
     A's named JIM YOUNG as Dir of PR.  Young had been Athletic
     Media Relations Dir at Santa Clara Univ. (A's)....GAIL DAY
     was named Publisher of Playboy and Senior VP of Playboy
     Enterprises Publishing Group.  Day was previously Associate
     Publisher of SI for Kids (AD AGE, 1/3)....Former adidas-
     Salomon CFO DEAN HAWKINS will join boo.com as CFO (boo.com).
     ...HOWARD SCHNEIDER was named VP/On-Air Promotion of Fox
     Broadcasting Area 21 promotions division.  Schneider was
     VP/On-Air Promotion for Fox Sports Net (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER,
     1/3)....JIM KEPLESKY was named Exec VP/Sales of Sandbox.com. 
     Keplesky had been Ad Dir for ESPN Magazine (Sandbox.com).
