ONE HORSE RACE? REPORT SAYS DOLAN WIDENING GAP IN JETS BID

Cablevision Chair Charles Dolan "has taken a decisive
lead in the bidding for the Jets" by making a "blockbuster
offer ... believed to be more than" $600M and "possibly as
high as" $650M, according to Myers & Cimini of the N.Y.
DAILY NEWS. Sources report that Dolan's partner in the bid
is Devils Owner John McMullen, "whose stake is believed to
be less than one-third" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 12/21).
JOHNSON PROFILED: In N.Y., Richard Sandomir profiles
Jets bidder and Johnson & Johnson heir Robert Wood Johnson
IV and writes that "although [he is] a stranger in the
sports world, Johnson is well known in health care and
Republican Party worlds" (N.Y. TIMES, 12/21).
