FACILITY NOTES

          AZ State Univ. AD Kevin White said yesterday that
     "serious conversations" between the school and the NFL
     Cardinals about continuing to share Sun Devil Stadium "are
     not terribly realistic."  In Phoenix, Pat Flannery writes
     that the Cardinals "are not in imminent danger of being
     kicked out of Sun Devil Stadium before an alternative is
     found" because the team has a lease at the facility "that
     both sides intend to honor" (AZ REPUBLIC, 11/18)....The VA
     Racing Commission "rejected two rival plans" yesterday to
     build horse racing tracks in Prince William County,
     "effectively killing" plans to bring racing to Northern VA. 
     The Commission said that neither Colonial Downs nor VA
     business exec James Wilson "proved that their" $20M ventures
     "could survive in a risky racing market that is struggling
     for patrons" (WASHINGTON POST, 11/18).
