SI MAKES COMMITMENT TO WOMEN'S TITLE BY GOING BIMONTHLY

SI For Women will begin publishing bimonthly starting
with next year's March/April issue. The women's title was
tested in '97 with two issues under the SI Women/Sport name,
which evolved into four special issues in '99 with the
current title. With the launch, SI For Women will expand
its Web presence at siforwomen.com and cnnsi.com. The
magazines will launch with a circulation base of 300,000 and
a cover price of $3.50. SI For Women Editor Sandy Bailey
said the magazine will be aimed at women 18-34 and "will
cover the current landscape of women's sports," and it will
"also offer our readers insights on issues of health,
nutrition and fitness, news about products, gear and
clothing that fit their lifestyles" (SI For Women). A six-
issue subscription will cost $11.94 (AP, 10/6).
