TAG DAY FOR TITANS A HIT AS TEAM MAKES INROADS IN NASHVILLE

The Titans "came out of the weekend with some pretty
good numbers" in terms of TV ratings and ticket and PSL
sales, according to Paul Kuharsky of the Nashville
TENNESSEAN. Preliminary Nielsen ratings for Sunday's
Titans-Chiefs game on WKRN-ABC were "strong," as the game
drew a 13.6/21 locally. The ratings peaked at 9:00pm CT with
a 16.0/23. Titans Exec VP Don MacLachlan: "I was very, very
pleased with the numbers. Those are pretty strong."
Meanwhile, the team sold 200 PSLs when more than 7,500 fans
attended a PSL sales day and an open house at Adelphia
Coliseum. The team "followed that with what it called a big
day at the box office yesterday, selling 1,316 single-game
tickets." The PSL sales "went so well on 'Tag Day' -- when
customers could sit in and buy remaining seats -- that
TENNFL will do it again" Saturday. Less than 150 PSLs and
corresponding season tickets remain (TENNESSEAN, 8/17).
