AL DAVIS ORDERED TO REVEAL TALKS W/OTHER CITIES IN CASE

Raiders Owner Al Davis "has been ordered" by Sacramento
County Superior Court Judge Anthony DeCristoforo to "reveal
what contacts he may have had recently" with L.A. or Houston
"about moving the team" from Oakland, according to the SAN
JOSE MERCURY NEWS. DeCristoforo ordered Davis on July 20
"to answer the questions" and Davis "must now return for
further deposition." On advice from his attorneys, Davis
"had refused to discuss the matter during" a four-day
deposition in his litigation with Oakland and Alameda County
on whether the Raiders have the right to leave the Oakland
Coliseum "before the team's lease expires" in 2011. Raiders
officials were not available for comment. Attorneys for
Oakland and Alameda County filed a motion "arguing that any
discussions" Davis has had with Houston or Hollywood Park
officials "could help establish his motive in seeking to
rescind" his Coliseum deal (MERCURY NEWS, 8/14).
