FAMILY GOLF COULD SELL SKATENATION FACILITIES TO RAISE $$

NY-based Family Golf Centers said it is "unable to make
debt repayments due in the next eight weeks and is both
seeking to restructure" its $100M credit facility and
contemplating asset sales, according to Martin Peers of the
WALL STREET JOURNAL. The news sent the company's stock
"plunging" 69%. On Friday, Family Golf's shares dropped
$2.66 to $1.1875 on the NASDAQ. Family Golf CFO Jeffrey Key
resigned Wednesday and the company hired Zolfo, Cooper LLC
to "advise it on a restructuring." Among the options being
considered are the sale of the company's "non-golf
operations and the disposition or closing of nonperforming
or underperforming assets" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 8/16).
Advest analyst Bret Jordan said one possibility could be the
sale of the company's SkateNation ice-rink business "just to
     get some near-term cash" (BLOOMBERG/MIAMI HERALD, 8/14).
