FACILITY NOTES

          The Red Sox released a 23-page study concluding that
     renovating Fenway Park "does not work," and have "signaled
     they are unwilling to continue discussing renovation" plans
     with the Save Fenway Park Group.  The analysis was overseen
     by team architect K.C.-based HOK+LOBB Sport (BOSTON GLOBE,
     6/30)....Las Vegas-based MGM Grand Casino/Hotel has retained
     L.A.-based Envision to negotiate a naming rights deal for
     the MGM Grand Garden Arena (Envision)....Pirates Owner Kevin
     McClatchy "flipped the switch" at PNC Park on the new
     scoreboard which will display how many days are "left until
     the first pitch" at the new ballpark.  The clock also gives
     the time and temperature ("SportsBeat," FSNP, 6/29).
