     ....Warner Music Group venture 143 Records President Larry
     Frazin, on boxer Oscar De La Hoya signing a recording
     contract with EMI Latin: "He's great looking.  He's an
     American hero.  If he can sing, it's just one more dimension
     to an already great career" (N.Y. POST, 6/24).
     ...ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT's Bob Goen reported that a new
     Pepsi spot featuring NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon and six-year-
     old Hallie Eisenberg will launch this weekend.  The spot
     shows Eisenberg on a bike beating Gordon in a stock car
     race.  Gordon, on his acting ability: "I've done my share of
     commercials, but I'm 27, and I get confused [and say], 'What
     was that line?  What do you want me to do?'" ("ET," 6/23).
     ...CNN/SI's Bob Lorenz, on Sammy Sosa's "Slammin' Sammy's"
     cereal: "Yes, Cubs fans, now you can fill your belly with
     the same sugar-infested cereal that Sammy Sosa eats every
     time the endorsement check clears" (CNN/SI, 6/23). ...PGA
     Tour rookie golfer Joel Kribel signed a long-term deal with
     Maxfli to become a full-staff player, using the company's
     ball, bag and irons (Maxfli)....Vikings WR Randy Moss said
     that he is "in the process of switching his endorsement
     contract" from Nike to the Jordan Brand (STAR TRIB. 6/24).
