PANTHERS POINT TO BURE SIGNING AS ONE REASON FOR TICKET HIKE

The NHL Panthers have raised their season-ticket prices
for the sixth consecutive summer, according to Michael Russo
of the Ft. Lauderdale SUN-SENTINEL. The "biggest jump" in
the average 5% increase comes in the price of club seats,
which have gone from $86 to $90 per game. Lower-bowl season
tickets have increased from $57 to $60, and mezzanine seats
have gone from $33 to $35. Sideline balcony and end-zone
season tickets have increased $1 per game. Panthers
VP/Marketing Steve Dangerfield: "It's one of the lowest
increases we've had." Russo adds that the increase is "no
surprise," as after the team signed Pavel Bure to a $58M
deal in February, team President Bill Torrey said that
ticket prices would likely increase (SUN-SENTINEL, 5/11).
