THE PROSECUTOR BECOMES THE NEGOTIATOR; BLACK LOSES ANOTHER

          Cavs G DEREK ANDERSON "plans to save some money by
     hiring a lawyer" to negotiate a contract extension this off-
     season, according to Chris Tomasson of the AKRON BEACON
     JOURNAL.  Anderson: "I ain't working hard to pay somebody
     else.  Most of that (contract) stuff you can do yourself. 
     You've just got to make sure the print is right."  Anderson
     also said that he will remain with Master P's NO LIMIT
     SPORTS for "marketing" endeavors (BEACON JOURNAL, 5/7).
          IN THE TANK: In Columbia (SC), David Newton reported
     that second-round draft pick MIKE PETERSON has dropped agent
     WILLIAM "TANK" BLACK.  He becomes the fourth former Univ. of
     FL player to leave Black (See THE DAILY, 5/3) and sign with
     agent LEIGH STEINBERG (Columbia STATE, 5/5).
