NBA VP/Business Development BILL DAUGHERTY is leaving
the league to become CEO of an Internet start-up company
planning a '99 launch. Daugherty will be working with the
league over the next couple of weeks to manage the

that former Fox MLB Producer JOHN FILIPPELLI is "expected to
be named" ABC Sports VP/Production. Former NBC Exec
Producer MIKE WEISMAN will replace Filippeli (USA TODAY,

Administration. Duffy was the 49ers CFO and Exec VP/Business
Operations (S.J. MERCURY NEWS, 5/7)....ROB KOCH was named
Manager of Media Relations for the Thrashers. Koch spent
the past eight years in PR for the NHL Rangers (Thrashers).
...JONATHAN PRESS was named Account Dir for ProServ
Consulting, a division of The Marquee Group, after eight
years at Advantage Int'l....DANA LANDRY joined CBS Cable as
TNN Motorsports Publicist (GOULD MEDIA'S TV SPORTSFILE,
5/3).....Bruins Media Relations Assistant GREG POST will
leave the team after the playoffs and become Dir of PR/Team
Services AHL Portland Pirates (Providence JOURNAL, 5/7).
