ROCKING THE CRIBB: FORMER ABL CO-FOUNDER TAKES BID JOB

          San Jose Sports Authority Chair and ABL co-Founder Anne
     Cribbs was named Exec Dir of the Bay Area's bid to host the
     2012 Summer Games, according to Edward Epstein of the S.F.
     CHRONICLE.  Cribbs will "be responsible" for formulating the
     group's entire bid report for the Games.  She will also help
     "raise some" $2M to pay for the bid (S.F. CHRONICLE, 5/7).
          OLYMPIC NOTES: The Dallas 2012 bid committee "kicked
     off a massive membership drive with an extravaganza" at Fair
     Park in Dallas last night.  Organizers estimated the crowd
     at 3,500 for the event, which "marks the start" of the
     Dallas 2012 membership drive (DALLAS MORNING NEWS,
     5/7)....The SLOC signed four new licensees, the first ones
     since September '98.  The four deals will mean "a minimum"
     of $1M for the SLOC.  UT-based Great Mountain will sell golf
     accessories, calendars, postcards, cards, magnets and other
     novelties; UT-based Symbol Arts will sell rings, jewelry,
     badges and medallions;  CA-based Andazia Int'l will sell
     women's clothing and NY-based Excelled Sheepskin and Leather
     Coat Corp. will sell leather coats (DESERET NEWS, 5/6).
