THANKS BUT NO THANKS: TWO MORE PULL OUT OF PGA SHOW

adidas-Salomon's Taylor Made Golf and adidas Golf USA
are "pulling out" of the PGA Int'l Golf Show, scheduled for
September 28-30 in Las Vegas, according to Erik Bratt of the
SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE. The Carlsbad, CA-based companies
join a "growing list" of companies that will be absent from
the show, including Titleist, Cobra Golf and Tommy Hilfiger.
Golf analyst Terry McAndrew, who publishes the newsletter
Web Street Golf Report: "I don't think the companies that
were there (last year) got their money back in terms of
business." But Gail Billingsley, Marketing Dir of Reed
Exhibition Co., which bought the show from the PGA of
America, "denied the show is in trouble," and said there
will "likely be more exhibitors than last year, when 950
exhibitors attended" (SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE, 4/21).
