FACILITY NOTES

          Philips Arena President Bob Williams, after visiting
     the Air Canada Centre last night: "Well designed with some
     unique features, but the building is very much like all the
     other new arenas that have gone up in that it really has no
     front door.  No front porch, as we have come to call it with
     our building" (ATL. CONSTITUTION, 4/21)....The Staples
     Center and L.A.-based Emerik Hotel Corp. will develop a 28-
     acre entertainment district near the new downtown arena. 
     Emerick will serve as the Managing Partner of the facility,
     while L.A. Arena, owed by Ed Roski, Philip Anschutz and the
     Fox Group, will serve as limited partner (L.A. TIMES, 4/20).
