AEROS FANS BALK, PLAYBOY MODEL WALKS BEFORE FIRST PITCH

          Heather Kozar, Playboy's '99 Playmate of the Year, was
     "thumbed" out of the game before throwing out the ceremonial
     first pitch at an Akron Aeros game because the Class AA
     affil of the Indians "got more than 100 irate phone calls"
     about her planned appearance, according to Knox & Klosterman
     of the AKRON BEACON JOURNAL.  Aeros Exec VP & GM Jeff Auman:
     "Basically what they said is that minor-league baseball is a
     family-oriented venue, and having a Playboy Playmate
     throwing out the first pitch was not appropriate." Kozar, an
     Akron native: "I wasn't going to be announced as a Playboy
     Playmate. I was going as Heather Kozar -- model, actress and
     hometown girl" (AKRON BEACON JOURNAL, 4/17).
