RED SOX REACH OUT TO LOCAL NEIGHBORS ON BALLPARK TALKS

The Red Sox have told community groups that they will
"seek their input before finalizing plans for a new Fenway
Park," according to Meg Vaillancourt of the BOSTON GLOBE.
The team met members of five Fenway organizations this week
and agreed to "work with the groups and try to address their
concerns up front" rather than unveiling the plans for the
new ballpark and then seeking reaction from the community
afterwards. Fenway Community Development Corp. Exec Dir
Carl Koechlin: "It's our sense that the team is very serious
about negotiating with us" (BOSTON GLOBE, 4/16).
