The Titans introduced their new uniforms to an
"enthusiastic" crowd of 1,500 during a "well-conceived and
crisply executed ceremony last night," according to Paul
Kuharsky of the Nashville TENNESSEAN. Titans GM Floyd Reese
said he was "thrilled" with the turnout, and joked, "There
are more people here than at our last game in Houston." The
new uniforms will give the team several "mix-and-match"
options, as it can wear all white, all navy blue, navy blue
jerseys with white pants or white jerseys with navy blue
pants. Replicas of the jerseys won't hit stores until
sometime this summer (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 4/14). In
Nashville, Joe Biddle wrote under the header, "Rave Reviews
For Uniforms, Models" (TENNESSEAN, 4/14). To view the
uniforms, visit http://www.titansonline.com.
WHAT'S ALL THE HYPE? In Nashville, Paul Kuharsky noted
that a wall that will display advertising at the Titans' new
stadium already has a sign with the name "Coliseum" on it,
but the sign "is not an indication that a stadium-naming
deal is done with Hyperion Communications" yet. Titans Exec
VP Don MacLachlan said that the team's discussions with the
company are continuing (TENNESSEAN, 4/14).
