ARE YOU FERRALL? THRASHERS NAME RADIO PLAY-BY-PLAY ANNOUNCER

          The Thrashers have named syndicated sports radio host
     Scott Ferrall as the team's radio play-by-play voice.  In
     addition to his radio role, Ferrall will be involved with
     team promotions, fan development and other ancillary TV
     programming.  Ferrall will continue to host his Westwood One
     Radio Network syndicated show, "Ferrall on the Bench"
     (Thrashers).  In Atlanta, Prentis Rogers notes that Ferrall
     has "never done hockey play-by-play," but the Thrashers
     "think that what Ferrall lacks in play-by-play experience
     will be offset by his enthusiasm and the celebrity of being
     a nationally syndicated radio personality."  Ferrall: "I
     know I'm really raw at this, but I've been practicing at the
     Kings' home games ... I'll be good."  Rogers adds that the
     Thrashers will now "focus on choosing a flagship radio
     station, which is expected to take at least another month"
