YOU HAVE TO SELIG TO BELIEVE IT: COMMISH "VERY COMFORTABLE"

MLB Commissioner Bud Selig told Dave Van Dyck that MLB
"is so sound and so solid that if we all continue to work to
keep it that way, I feel very comfortable." Selig said that
while he can't let MLB "fail" in "the heartland of America,"
he is "confident that in the next year or two, we will see a
team or two move." Selig: "When you've taken hope and faith
away from too many franchises, the game is going to suffer.
If this renaissance I keep talking about is to come to
fruition, you have to solve the disparity problem." Selig
hopes to hit 80 million in season attendance "very quickly,"
possibly "in the next couple of years" (SUN-TIMES, 3/21).
