HEAT-MARLINS EXPLORE THE POSSIBILITIES OF WORKING TOGETHER

Team execs from both the Heat and the Marlins "have
privately been discussing ways to work together," according
to Barry Jackson of the MIAMI HERALD. Heat Exec VP/Sales &
Marketing Michael McCullough, on a Heat-Marlins partnership:
"That would be very interesting. There's a very good chance
we'll do something." McCullough and Marlins VP/Sales &
Marketing Jim Ross have "spoken about a potential joint
marketing partnership," and options include combined ticket
packages, advertising during each other's game broadcasts and
appearing at joint promotional events. But Arison and Henry
are not likely to buy minority interests in each other's
franchise, as Arison said that "he has no interest in
becoming a baseball owner" (MIAMI HERALD, 3/14).
