MUTINY AND FUSION PARTNER TO OFFER TICKETS TO YOUTH SOCCER

The MLS Mutiny and Fusion "have entered into a
partnership" with the FL Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) "in
an effort to sell at least 118,000 tickets to their home
games this season and next," according to Bill Ward of the
TAMPA TRIBUNE. The two-year deal "could boost" the average
home attendance of each club by more than 3,500, which
"could be the difference between the Mutiny staying or
relocating to a more supportive market." Mutiny GM Nick
Sakiewicz: "This is absolutely huge for us, probably the
biggest announcement we've made since Tampa was awarded a
(MLS) franchise." In the deal, the Mutiny and Fusion will
sell tickets to their local FYSA registered players for $7,
about half the price of regular seats (TAMPA TRIBUNE, 3/10).
